This is my world where anything can happen and usually does. This story is all fiction, made up in my mind. If you’re looking for facts, click the X and go visit your library! So there was a circle of wrecked ships orbiting the Earth, but every once in a while a piece of that wreckage slips through and makes it to Earth.
That is why they keep me around, the current population has forgotten how to fight and kill their opponents. So they pull soldiers like me out of mothballs to do the dirty work that needs doing. Remember, it’s not just a job, it’s an adventure!
This piece of tech landed on an uninhabited tropical island that was mostly a thick jungle. was born and raised in the bush by my parents who were scientists who loved exploring the jungle, so that’s why they chose me.
A month later on an agreed-upon date, monitors around the world showed the two of us dropped on opposite ends of the island by helicopter carrying only the supplies needed to complete the mission. Then the betting started, it is not too civilized not to profit from someone dying. We were modern-day Gladiators, but what the governments didn’t count on was that sometimes their soldiers got tired of the thrill of living forever, and cashed in his chips himself on a mission.

Then I heard, “Incoming nuclear weapons, ETA 20 minutes” My visor showed me that both the Chinese and the Americans had each launched a missile at us. They both must have thought that it was better to destroy the entire island than let the other side get their hands on it.
“Does this bucket have any weapons to defend itself?” I asked. “Linking weapons helmet to the weapon control officer” I glanced over at Lin-sue and saw a similar helmet coming down over her head. “Familiarizing weapons officer with available weapons” I looked over at her as I heard, “Link up complete”
“Are they able to pick us up on their radar?” She replied, “Cloaking device activated” I smiled at Lin-sue, “We’re getting the fuck out of here!”

On a whim, I asked, “It might be over-reaching the limits of what we’re able to do, but are we capable of time travel?” The reply, “It will drain most of our power sources, but I can recharge using the Earth’s core as a power station” I raised my visor and said, “Lin-sue, I have come to love you after all we have been through, and there’s no person that I trust more than you! Would you do me the honor of being my wife?”

It pulled up an account with $25 Million in it. My mind said, “Thank you!” Her response was, “Go enjoy your life together”.
We settled down in Wyoming as Lin-sue loved the snow. We had seven kids before she agreed to call it quits on any more children, four girls and three boys. We were both nearing 100 years in our life together. We introduced our friend to the kids and we let her take her Grandkids for a ride around the galaxy.
When we approached our ending, Lin-sue and I loved each other more than we ever did before. We decided it was time to say goodbye to our children and grandchildren and let our friend take us for our last ride amongst the stars.
